“Soil mixed with Marmite”

April 19, 2010

A good friend, who reads a lot of political analysis, described this as, ‘the best political analysis [she’s] ever read.’ I can’t do the funky linking-to-a-specific-part-of-a-webpage thing, and have no time to learn how right now, but if you scroll down past all the actual politics, you’ll find someone with lexical-gustatory synaesthesia saying what last Thursday’s leaders debate tasted like. Gordon Brown apparently tastes of soil mixed with Marmite, Nick Clegg of fruit pastilles, and David Cameron of ink and macaroons.
